Walked the Columbia Trail from High Bridge all the way through the gorge. Trail has many little surprises along it in the form of painted rocks, gnomes, and birdhouses. Well maintained trail and, being a rail-trail, a smooth surface and mild grade. The Raritan River through the gorge is a fairly fast-running stream, very pretty.
If ur looking forward to fishing and a great walk along the Raritan river definitely a must visit, however pet owners need to clean up so others can enjoy the trail

A great area for hiking or fishing along the Raritan River. Easily accessed from Highway 78. Not too many people based on recent experience during a prime summer weekend. The parking at the beginning of the trail in High Bridge is really convenient.
